Drag, F/C 426 HEMI Color?

Would painting a 426 HEMI for Dragster or F/C use back in the late 60's early 70's with factory stock HEMI engine Orange, would be a correct period color

.......Seems like most of them where painted black. Thanks to all.

Every one I remember seeing in a fuel car was always black, but a number of the ones on the street or in the stock / super stock classes were orange.
