Bills72sj
Just started a simultaneous build of 5 Mustangs. This is #3. Just finished prepping the body for paint. Once I have all the bodies prepped I will paint them all the same day.

Bills72sj
Just finished the chassis for my 1967 Mustang GT. Plans for it have changed to the chassis will go into this Shelby.
Canso65
Nice clean work on the chassis Bill. I'll be following along with your build. I have 5 of these sitting just waiting to be built.

Bills72sj
Painted the body today. Not pleased with the results. The rattle can blue covered the white Tamiya primer as though it was a sponge. Will probably end up in the purple lake. I ran out of blue paint too. Sam I Am
Assembly line mustangs, great idea.
Bills72sj
Thanks Sam, The builds go a bit more efficiently and it allows forward progress even on days things go sideways. I have used the same process for a number of builds now.
ksnow
Nice set of mustangs. I like how you display them in the diorama.

Bills72sj
Thanks Gene. My building has been on pause for a week. I started a new job after a month of unemployment. So I am adapting to that. I hope to get back at them soon.
Bills72sj
After two weeks of not building, the paint job quality and color were unacceptable. Just dropped it in the purple lake.
Bills72sj
Finally back at it after 3 weeks of 12-14 hour days at work. Got a lot of detail painting done. Started some assembly.
Bills72sj
Been slow going lately due to a busy life. I have the interior done and engine in the chassis.

AMT68
Great detail on the interior and chassis. I have the '68 kit (unbuilt) which I believe is the original tooling whereas I'm guessing the tooling for the '67 was updated.
mrm
Sweet looking interior.

Bills72sj
Finally got the body clean by alternating between brake fluid and Super Clean. Unfortunately the weather around here is not permitting me to paint it. So in the box it goes until spring.
Bills72sj
Struggling with this one again. Got a so so white base coat down. Waited a few days. Started masking stripes per Shelby spec. Paint felt a little tacky so I only did the hood and the nose. Just checked under the masking tape. Sure enough, masking tape texture embedded in the white stripes. GRRR. Back in the purple lake again. This is sad. The interior and chassis have been done for months.
