Don't worry, you aren't the first, and I doubt you'll be the last to make that mistake, luckily I've worked on the real thing and knew the exhaust went through the inner wing, Revell got it bang on, great rescue though... philo426 Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 Yep I guess it was necessary to protect the exhaust system in rough terrain.
philo426 Posted September 22, 2020 Author Posted September 22, 2020 Just for fun,I put a large RAF roundrel decal on the hood!
philo426 Posted September 22, 2020 Author Posted September 22, 2020 Decided to paint the seats and interior panels a sand color.Gies well with the green body..
philo426 Posted September 23, 2020 Author Posted September 23, 2020 Installed the 2 rows of seats...like the sand color! The rear seats have a black frame which was tricky to paint.
philo426 Posted September 23, 2020 Author Posted September 23, 2020 I got the interior panels installed.Fit was very good abd positive.I simulated galvanized metal on the front bumper by first painting it chrome silver and allowing it to dry overnight .Then I used flat aluminum and cut down paint brush to stipple it on in an irregular pattern.Pretty good results.
philo426 Posted September 24, 2020 Author Posted September 24, 2020 Fit the body to the chassis, except for a minor problem with the clutch pedal hanging up fit was great!
philo426 Posted September 24, 2020 Author Posted September 24, 2020 Grille needs a little more blackening up it looks good!
kilrathy10 Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 This thing is looking pretty awesome... I can't believe I had this in my hand, this morning...Hobby Lobby has some of these....It can be had for about $25 out the door...I'm sure I'll pull the trigger by the end of the week, though...
