Guest 66dragfreak Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Here's another winter project that will hopefully see completion by spring. I had originally planned on leaving this body in silver, but after much thought, I went ahead and sprayed House of Kolor Candy Green over it. I'm somewhat pleased with the end result, but wish it had turned out better. I really enjoy building these Tuner kits for a change of pace and so far on this I opened the grilles in the front bumper and have started painting the various subassembles. the engine and interior will be color coordinated with the body as well. I will post more pics as I make more progress...
RodneyBad Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Is that the revell kit? paint looks really good.. I like the job you did on the clear hood.
RJ44 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Love the colour. Can't wait to see this one all finished.
Guest 66dragfreak Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 This is the Revell Honda. The Revell Tuner kits really are alot of fun to build and if anyone hasn't tried them for wahtever reason, you really don't know what you're missing. I built the Mitsubishi Eclipse and had a blast with that car and this one is proving to be just as fun as the Eclipse. I will get busy on the interior and engine subassemblies today and hopefully get a bit more done...
Guest 66dragfreak Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 I got some more detail painting done on this today as well as flocking the interior and getting that assembled for the most part. Still alot of work to do, but the car is coming along nicely. I will get more images posted later this evening after work. The interior is green and white with a black dash and console to break up the colors a bit. This sure is turning into a fun kit, that's for sure!!
Guest 66dragfreak Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Here are some more in-progress and mock-up pics of this little street beast. I am undecided as to which hood to use for this car at this point. I went ahead and applied the decals this morning and I think the black helps break up the green nicely. The color coded green also looks good in my opinion. I also found some green plug wires that went perfect with the theme. Anyways, let me know what y'all think...
