cobraman
Not sure you would consider this a pressed steel item or not . Anyway , I came across this on the bay . It is a bit crude but as I have never seen one before it was a good item for my Cobra collection .

keyser
Never saw one before. A bit crude for Asia manufactury. Eastern bloc? What’s on base plate?
cobraman
Thanks. The base plate does not have any markings.
swede70
Interesting and certainly I've never seen an example. Wish I could help in it's identification, neat score all the same. Thanks for sharing... Mike K./Swede70

bisc63
Interesting piece. I painted a similar 56 Chevy that my uncle picked up at a flea market, seller said it was hand made by a guy in Cuba, where he first purchased it as a souvenir. The construction technique is very much the same, especially notable is the way he solders strips of metal rod to define the edges of moldings and stripes, as if he were drawing with steel rod. Snake45
Different and therefore interesting and cool! Are you planning to do anything with it, or leave it just as you found it?
cobraman
Snake, I think it's best left alone.
