Thanks Roger,

I like how you solved the step molding issue on the rear window. I haven't decided yet but I may just leave that detail out all together. I'm leaning toward a curbside shelf model with a mild custom look, but ya just never know...1.jpg.5d5424b1e6e9cab7788de6cf03f5c9bc.jpg2.jpg.222cdda62a131ad9e26088d8d67c8733.jpg

Wow ?! That’s such a smooth ride you’re achieving… the flush rear skirts, the tailights, and then the chop! Betcha you’ll go further than a curbside?
Enjoying your work as it gets my mind to consider doing a forty chop, great look.

Cheers Misha

Working out of town limits bench time. But here’s a little update.

Body work is looking really sharp man.  I have a question.  I'm always affraid to sand to much for fear of removing to much material.  How in the heck are you getting those heavy sanding marks out without sanding to much plastic away?

Thx Bob, normally I wouldn't gouge the surface like this but this was a real glue bomb when I started.  I guess the easiest answer would be I use a couple deferent sand papers. The courses being 220 and work up to a 400. Then I like to use an automotive filler primer lightly sprayed. I will sand that almost completely off and then start the process over again until I am satisficed. Usually there are spots that need more attention but I work on them individually just re-priming  where needed. After that I'll wet sand the entire body and then prime it with Tamiya primer in very light coats. If you do this make the two primers are compatible. There's hundreds of ways of doing it but this works best for me.

Thanks Guys, I'm pretty happy with it too. It's kind of funny but I'm trying to build on a budget and not purchasing any new supplies right now. Number one funds for models are a bit low, number two I have so much stuff. I'd love to use as much of it up before replacing it. Maybe some have felt the same?

I'm  going to try to get caught up on the few unfinished projects I have this winter hopefully I won't get distracted by new ones...

Blessed Holidays!

Nice looking color on your Hot Rod.  What color is the interior?  Looks really good.

It’s just a Model Masters tan.
