Hello,

This is Revell's Magnum PI Ferrari I built more than 20 years ago. I built it unpainted, then took it apart 1 or 2 years later, paint it with Testor's enamel spray, and put it back together. I clearly remember finishing it and taking it to show to my sisters. When I opened Karen's door, she got scared and yelled, and somehow the model fell from my hand to the floor. Fortunately there was no major damage, and I had it back together quickly. I also remember that since the taillights were glued, they were painted body color and I thought "I need to repaint them". Well, they are still body color.

My best estimate is that this was around 1987-1988. I was 17-18 then. Ohhh the memories......

It currently has a few pounds of dust, the back bumper is loose, and the 2 passenger side wheels broken off. But it is complete.

I'll restore it and put it next to my just finished 308.

I have 2 more survivors, each one with their own story. More on those later. I need to take pics of those. I am not going to rebuild them. Just restore them to their "original" shape.

This is 3-D history.

Ismael, That is awesome! I wish I had my old builds, but *gulp*, Mom tossed them after I moved out.

I built the Magnum P.I. Ferrari too, unpainted, steerable wheels, I thought it was the coolest thing. Built mine about the same time as you!

Look forward to seeing it restored and your other two!

Chris
