Decals on Gravity and Splash paints? Clear gloss first?

I'm using some Splash paint for the first time. It's Sublime green on a 70 Dodge Charger. I primed yesterday and put down the paint today (excellent coverage by the way). It drys to a Matt finish. I will be putting on the side trim decals soon and was wondering if I need to put on some gloss clear coat first?

This is only my second car model coming from aircraft models. My first was the Tamiya Ford GT. I put strips on that but the base coat was gloss black then I used 2k for the first time.
