Automotive Restoration and Machine Shop

I've progressed to the point that building construction is complete. My attention will now focus on machinery building and placement as well as details and finalizing lighting. These are photos that I've taken to give me closeups of areas that need attention. I like to take these as an aide in future development and planning.

These photos are stunning, Douglas...... They are very atmospheric, and I particularly like the shots taken upstairs. I like the way your camera walks you round the inside of the workshop areas, as though you were a 1:24 scale person ( or 1:25 scale ). This project of yours interests me because that is exactly the way I like to build and photograph my dioramas, by getting right inside the building.

The office is now complete and the crane is also finished. All of the lighting is on dimmer control, and when I take the final photos, I'll need to dim the office light. It is giving our poor secretary premature white hair. This doesn't look like much for several hours work, but cutting and gluing all those little clutter papers takes forever.

I like the views looking into the office, Douglas, which give the viewer a good impression of the two figures at work. You have got the lighting just right inside the elevated office, and the piles of papers are exactly how you would expect to see them in a workshop office setting..... Excellent !

I can call the construction of this project, completed. There will still be things added over its future, as with all dioramas, so the overall diorama can never be officially called, finished. I spent 12 hours on it today working on the electrical conduits, adding a safety chain by the hoist opening on the upper level, and other detail items.
I have now entering into the position of joining artists from all history who have, when completing their project, looked upon it with wondrous contemplation, and asked the timeless question, “Where am I going to put this monstrosity?”
