Hello,

This is the 3rd and last of the "barn finds" for now. This is the Monogram Testarrossa convertible. I built this one around 1987-88, not long before or after the 308 rebuild. Most likely, the 308 was painted with the leftover paint of this project. When I finished this model, I clearly remember thinking "WOW, I've reached perfection! It doesn't get any better than this" Today I think "yeah right....." This was my best work to date at that time.

I also clearly remember after finshing it, proudly putting it in the dining table so mom dad and my sisters could see it when coming home. Keep in mind it was a VERY solitary hobby back then, and it was still 4 or 5 years before I even met other modelers, thanks to a college graphic artist.

This was one of my last car models before defecing to the aircraft side for a few years.

Time has not been very kind to it. the wheels have lost some of the chrome and the paint is not even a shadow of what it was. But I think the enamel has fully dried

Ohhhh the memories......

Now for the small part request: (I know there is another forum section for that) Would anybody happen to have a spare driver's side windshield wiper for this? That seems to be the only part missing.

Ismael, Sorry I can't help out with the part you need, but man this brings back memories....I built this kit many years ago, and believe it or not I painted it the exact same color...lol, it was a very good kit for its time. Its always cool to find some of your old builds to see how far along you've come...

take it easy

Great pictures.....

I too built one of those way back when, where it is now, who knows. I do have a new one on the bench though and hopefully I can do it justice....

I have been building model trucks for nearly 30 years and I still like to look back at some of the old builds I built many years ago.

My first truck was the Ertl paystar 5000 mixer. I call it number one and it still sits proudly along side my latest build.

My first truck means a lot as my dad and I built it together.

Cheers
