Dave Armstrong Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 (edited) Another built from some time ago. Warning- I generally don't build perfect replicas- more like look-a-likes, or close-enuffs! This is even more so, as I could not find enough pics of the top of the 1:1 when I built it; and the sides are a really simplified view. Stock Torino kit body, with altered tin work and chassis from a GTO Judge. Engine, headers, tires, and wheels from the parts box. Paint is Tamiya Racing Blue and Testor's Diamond Dust. Claude Thibodeau Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 Hi Dave! Very nice rendition of this quite unusual body styte in the funny-car field of the days... The paint combo is very nice! Bravo. CT
TarheelRick Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 Oh my, that is just one "nasty" looking Torino. I always liked that body style, and your touch just makes it that much more appealing. Mighty fine build.
Old Coyote Posted June 11, 2021 Posted June 11, 2021 Beautiful build Dave ... simply stunning. I don't care if it's not exact, I like it just as it is. 1
bogger44 Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 Love it! Really sharp build of a subject rarely built and seen. Count me in as not caring if it's not exactly correct, as I build in the same fashion. As long as it looks the part and at least fairly close I'm happy!
spkgibsonfirebird Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 Absolutely perfectly done, I'd love to build one myself, these Torino's are my favorite model kits of all time.
ybsluos Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Right on Dave! Even if it isn’t an exact replica it looks convincing as a period flip top racer. I love it.
