ddonaca351
Good call. I've also had good luck with small diamater safety wire. Its bendable, comes in different sizes (to fit your scale) and it can be cut with any old wire snippers (or scissors as long as you dont tell the boss... ) You can get it at most good auto parts stores. Read the text before you post, and try to keep it with proper English, it may look al normal to you, but I give up after your first 5-10 words and stop reading further. KENNEDYJR
Is the idea to rub the paint off of the high spots? I have a package of guitar stings I need to use so this will help.

Biker Bob
My Favorite thing to use for lines is called buss wire. You can get it at Radio shack on a spool of about 50 feet for about $
buba39
the idea is to coat the whole string so no wire color shows
stangy77
I use speaker wire strip it and take out one strand at a time. Its copper so the color is already good. Ita bends easily and holds well with glue. I also use cross stich thread as spark plug wires cross stith thread is multi strand so you remove one strand at a time to make plug wires. You can also make braided stainless hoses out of it by useing a few strands together and painting with silver paint.
Olle F
I use 0.5mm galvanized baling wire for fuel lines. It's already the right color, and it also cuts and bends easily.
