Yea, that's what I use. Love the primers. But I've been having problems with all their blacks, the gloss, semi-gloss and flat. Seems to not spray smooth, leaving a rough looking finish.

Yeah its differently different from the flat gray.  I always shake mine for a good 3-5 min and set the can in hot water for about 5 min before spraying.  Seems to help and spray mu!triple light coats.

Looking good! One nit, if you're going for stock appearance, that big gray rectangle behind the gas tank should be same black as the rest of the floor pan; that's the bottom of the trunk. 1961-64 Impalas all have a large recessed trunk area like that. Otherwise, she's a beauty!

Thanks Rusty.  I acutally painted it silver by mistake.  I'll have to get after it with some black.

Ok....I got the suspension set up and put the body on for a test fit.  It's not as low as I was hoping for but that's about all I can get.

Looks great! I just love that blue, gonna look dynamite with the interior scheme.

Thanks Tom.  Blue is my favorite color so I really like it.

Started putting some of the decals on this morning.  The one for the back seat fell apart once I pulled it out of the water.  Had to use my Molotow pen.

Thanks man.

Everything is dry but still needs a little touch up in a few places.   I did a dry fit and I'm now wondering if the floor board should be blue vs the flat black.

I'm getting really close to putting the body on for the last time.  Had a little trouble with the firewall staying in place so had to clamp it for the rest of the day.  I'm going to dread getting the rest of the foil work done.

Well....I got after the foil work again and I think my luck has ran out.  IT WILL NOT STICK.  I tried cutting pieces from various section off the sheet and none of it wants to stick.  The A pillar's and around the bottom of the front glass is basically just setting there.  I pulled a sheet of the other I had and it stuck a little better but it's all wrinkled looking.  Not sure what to do at this point.

Is it the new stuff you recently got Bob??

Yup.  Its the new stuff.  The old stuff I have has wrinkles in it.

I'd work with the wrinkled stuff , the old foil is soooo much  better than the new stuff !  I found that by slowly lifting your piece of foil off of the backing it's possible to smooth the wrinkles out as you lift it , any remaining marks will disappear after it's applied to the body .  Worth a try !
