1972coronet
Most of us are familiar with the (excellent) Neo Noir Crime film The Friends of Eddie Coyle (1973) , but how many have you have read the 1970 novel it's based upon? I purchased a copy (c.2010 edition) from eBay ; should be here within a week. I would love to build a 1/25 scale replica of Jackie Brown's 1971 Road Runner ( "383 Hemi" , indeed ) . The most difficult part would be creating the standard bench seat interior of the 1:1 ; everything else would be a cinch ( V1X top , standard bonnet , etc. ). webestang
I have not read the novel but I did just watch that movie again a couple of weeks ago from TCM. I kept pausing it during the street scenes to look at the cars.
1972coronet
Much of the film's dialogue follows the book's dialogue almost verbatim in many instances. Here's where the "Three-eighty-three hemi" faux pas originates from (see image) .
