theflame Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I'm doing a little research - anyone got pics of models they built back in the day (for those of us old enough to have been there anyway...) 70s or earlier would be great...as would any leads on old model show pics - anyone able to help?
FloridaBoy Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Jim, I have some stuff. First, I have my Pegasus trophies from the early sixties Revell/Pactra contest, and the cars still in perfect condition which won them. I also have some old Rod & Custom mags with model car contest coverage. All of my bandwith is used up on this forum, as I am now unable to post any photo I have, and I have lots. Email me and I will forward my photos of old work, and new work in progress attached to the email. You have my permission in advance to publish any of the photos on this board if you see fit. Mike Cole Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I can't tell you exactly when these were built, probably while the originals were still on hobby shop shelves. IMC Cougar II ERTL Massey Ferguson More photos of these two. Original ERTL Paystar MPC Mack DM800 More photos of these two, and the MF tractor. The Paystar was redone about 2002, photos here. I never finished the build, but this is the turbine engine from the original AMT Astro kit. A few more turbine photos. HTH
KanelKustoms Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Hi, I have several old magazines as well. Rod and Custom, Car Model, Cars. There are alot of articles about shows, tech how to, new releases etc. Most are from the early sixties forward to the early 70's. If there is something in paticular you would like more info on I would be happy to look for it.
Harry P. Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Lots of 60s era photos here: http://www.slotforum.com/forums/blog/slotc...p?showentry=157
