Hi, I have started building the Revell Don Prudhomme 1970 Cuda funny car. So far I have modified the frame making a lot of it from styrine. I have cleaned up the front axle and made new coil over shocks. On the rear ladder bars I removed the wheelie bars and coil overs and used some after market coilovers. I made new steering arm from styrine and made a tie rod from aluminum. The snake and mongoose kit from revell seems to be a lot cruder than the other Revell funny car kits I have built.

The original 70's release was from Monogram and re-released in a double kit form under the current Revell/Monogram label.

They were not part of the Revell funny car line of the 70's

As mention the original 1970 "Snake" Cuda FC was made by Monogram back in 1970, the kit was not bad at all back then, Hot Wheel was the main sponsor of the Snake & owner of ...Monogram: so came the hot wheels toys versions & the 1/24th scale Monogram plastic kit, the kit was quite a succes in the growing early 70s Funny car kit craze.

Tought the kit was neet, the body was really nicely replcated.

Low points: front tires/wheels are a bite to wide, a bit "Huge" rear slicks are M&H:( GY on real one), Hemi engine block is a bit "narrow", but overall a very nice kit that we don't see often reissued. 3 times only since 1970: Snake/ White Shark, & combo in the 90S
