wayne00 Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 Archer water slide rivets. Do they need a glossy surface, or can they be applied directly to the primer? I have done some research and it seems to be the best way to deal with the seam on the Freightliner COE. Thanks Rog?
raisin27 Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 Just tried some myself. They worked fine over primer. I did use setting solution.
Sledsel Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 I have used them over primer also. I used the O scale 5/8 rivets on my Freightliner and wish I had used the 7/8 rivets.
wayne00 Posted March 9, 2022 Author Posted March 9, 2022 Thank for the info! One of the videos I watched said to use the G scale 5(8 rivets. He said it was almost a perfect match for the kit rivets. Thanks agin. Rog?
wayne00 Posted March 14, 2022 Author Posted March 14, 2022 Another question? Do you have to cut close to the rivets or will primer hide the edge of the carrier just fine? Thanks Rog?

Thanks Rog? Here are the Archer louvers applied to my current project. Should have the same results as using their rivets. Before paint, note the edges of the decal, especially at the sides. And then after one coat of primer and 2 coats of paint. The line disappears
