Daddyfink Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Cool! Now I can leave my original alone! I just hope the corrected the decals for the dragster
ChrisBcritter Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 I see some cool motorhome conversions coming!

I thought they tooled up a couple missing parts for the latest release too?
stavanzer Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Different Truck, I think. Anybody have a link for the Instruction sheet for this kit? I thought Drastic Plastics had it, but I cannot find it there.
Mark Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 (edited) The truck is the same one that was released separately a few years ago. In the original release, this version had a promo style engine insert instead of the complete OHC 6 engine, also the clear canopy that covered the load area was not included. The Round 2 issue may however be different. Edited April 19, 2022 by Mark Spelling
keyser Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 It also didn’t have the hydraulic rams for cab. Weird kit but love them.

The current issues have the longer dragster markings. 1

stavanzer Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Found a review of the kit, with photos of the contents, for those who have never seen it. https://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/kits/mpc/kit_mpc_0787.shtml 1

stavanzer Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Looking back at the thread, I see why I was fooled. The 2012 release showed the Cover over the loadbed. This boxing shows the Dragster. It was just different enough to not trigger recognition.
keyser Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Dragster issue doesn’t have engine. It has promo insert. Daytona transport has the Pontiac OHC 6. 1
Daddyfink Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Hey! Found them. The original issue decals vs. the re-issued versions Top decals are the correct version. 2
keyser Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 I have early reissue that has the correct ones. I’ve not seen the wonky ones until now. Weird.
Raoul Ross Posted June 28, 2022 Author Posted June 28, 2022 Jeez, I thought this would'a been released by now...?
unclescott58 Posted June 28, 2022 Posted June 28, 2022 Neat looking truck. I have the one release a few years back. The Daytona Transport Truck version. It built into look a nice model. But it’s bed is not big enough to hold anything other than a rail style dragster. I was a little disappointed with that.
