M W Elky Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 (edited) This was a crazy fun build. There’s a lot of parts available for These short wheel base dragsters of the early to mid 1960’s. You don’t see too many with the Latham super charger which on its own is pretty cool. This issue of RODDING & RE-STYLING has color photos and references for three of them. It’s the September 1964 issue. Here’s the parts breakdown amt double dragster kit: chassis, body, rear, long block, fuel tank revell’s Tony Nancy double kit: rear wheels, and slicks, front wheels, tires, front axle, and radius rods amt model t double kit: Latham super charger chassis modifications new roll bar, l moved the x brace to the bottom, and cut down the front spring mounting bar to make the front of the chassis more triangular. I also fabricated the push bar. I did the lettering by hand with a ultra fine tipped paint marker. This takes a little practice on a sacrificial body. I used some white needle point fabric to replicate the interior upholstery. The paint is some left over tamyia metallic blue . The body is testors diamond dust lacquer Happy Easter everyone .Thanks for checking this out. Mike Edited April 17, 2022 by M W Elky I forgot the volume number, and had wrong picture 2
