chris coller Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Has anyone used HOK and Dupi together? If so what type of results have you had? I have had success with Tamiya over HOK but poor results with Dupli Color over Tamiya. Just dont want to ruin the paint on my purple Mustang. To much body work done to have a paint malfunction. Any help would be appreciated!
RodBurNeR Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I use HOK Snowwhite Pearl over Dupli Color Gloss White and it works perfectly! I used it that way a few times already.
MikeMc Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Yep ...all the time This magnum has Duplacolor black,Tamiya Acrylic yellow, HOK tangelo pearl with duplacolor clears.......I know you cannot shoot lacquers over acrylics.. but I do it all the time!!!
E St. Kruiser50 Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Hey Chris I can spray DupliColor acrylic lacquers over HOK UC35 catalyzed clear. I even shoot Lacquers over enamels without problems - there's just a trick to it I developed-very easy. Good luck - dave
