steve doyle Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 i just finished using the frisket paper . flames came out good. i removed masking and the frisket from the car right away. when removing the frisket adhesive stuck to the paint what do i do . i tried soap and water still there. paint was house of colors sunset pearl. please help thanks Steve Doyle
Jairus Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 House of Colors paint is acrylic lacquer so cleaning off the Frisket glue is a simple matter of wiping the body down with alcohol or paint thinner. Gregg suggests rubbing out the paint with Tamiya polishing compound. I am surprised that the Frisket left behind some of the adhesive but... I suppose the solvents in the paint loosened it from the backing.... Good luck and let us see the final result please! Jairus
