;) yeah, hey that was crazy, the good thing is nobod hit him, but I read that the Mazda's were fast and ready to charge to the front, I think Porsche will put up a great fight, as always. Maybe we'll have a 2007 12 hours of Sebring finish with the GT, or again with the DP.

That was crazy stuff.

Mazda's are fast there, however, the Porsche teams have more experience. They have the car, the drivers, and the team.

If Mazda is to win they will have to work for it.

I doubt there will be a GT overall winner, the only way would be if some weather comes in and a bunch of DPs crash out or break.

I just want it like the Ferrari vs Porsche battle. :) Only 4 more hours!

They said that Mazda has refined the car this year so they can compete more with the Porsche's I don't think the Pontiac's have too much for the two.

BTW the sched was revised.

Starting on Fox noon local fl time.

I think the Porsche is a new car too. The Porsche guys were threatening to quite last year if they didn't do something about the Pontiacs. Can't blame them, there was a string of races where they could even crack the top ten, and when Porsche can't crack the top 3 race after race there is a problem with the series.

Yeah, I think it will be a while before we see a finish like the last couple of laps of Sebring like the one between Melo and Bergmeister. That was good stuff, although Melo went a little over the top in the final straight.

Well I jsut watched all of the little over 5 hours and wow such good racing so far. It's good to see some greats racing, like Schroeder and Haywood. I like the announcers, goot love David Hobbs, all they need is Calvin and Hobbs at once. :D

Speedsource started out and is not doing so hot after splitting the fuel cell open and other mechanical problems, the 8600 rev limiter is really holding them back in the strights because they lose that top end, they said they would get behind and draft and hit the limiter, at the beginning they showed an in car video and one of the Mazdas was drafting a Porsche and you could hear him hit the limiter for about 5 seconds.

I'm glad to see Porsche doing well. The Riley chassis and Penske are doing well, I hope they keep it up. The Ganassi team is strong and the other DP teams are doing well.

With Jan behind the wheel of the GXP R they are leading and the team thought they wouldn't be doing well after the start. Poor F430 CH that lost the wheel  there were only two in the race and it loses it right in front of the other. That chicane has been troublesome for some of the drivers, under hard braking and downshifting and not matching the downshifts.

There is tons I could say about it, but it is just amazing, the best. B) The rolex series is the best sports car series out there hands down, somewhat underrated, like they said with Scott Pruett as the most underrated driver in the US. ;)

Hobbs is something else. He always sounds like he's been drinking too much.

Yeah, awesome racing. It's good to see in these long races there isn't anyone pulling miles out ahead

Go Brumos!

Told you so. Mistakes, and all three Mazdas are way way way way way behind 31, 34, and 51 laps behind all from diver errors.

Chip got a car out front in DP right now, but I think it's pit sequence. Otherwise it's Brumos Penski Brumos.

I am surprised to see Pontiac out front to, nobody was expecting that. Maybe they are running hard and the car wont last.

Posted (edited)

Like I said...

The Banner Pontiac just dropped 5 laps down now running 10th and falling... so something happened, looks to be back up to speed now.

Hobbs is awsome, I liked when they were talking to Brian Redman and the English accents :D great stories and great footage.

Go Brumos! ;) Man, that 4 litre sounds good B)

Yeah, you were right  but they weren't really all their fault.

They were talking a little about that Pontiac before they left and they said that they were pushing and were surprised, when they talked to the crew chief, he was surprised and was hopign the car would just last, with Jan behind the wheel.

It's still Dixon and Porsche!

Yeah, the first time the driver just lost it and spun on the curb pucturing the tank and taking out the fuel pump.

the second got into the back of a Porsche, and the last one the NASCAR guy stuffs it into the tires.

Something happened. Up to speed now but lost a lot of time.

the 59 Brumos car is leading! ???

The formerly leading 58 car must have had a long stop. Brakes pads?

Oh yes and has been there, dang I wish I can watch it now. B)

Ok, so it some of it was there fault but it's not like the one tried to bust the cell. The Dempsey crew with the you know, guy just overshot it, Hobbs said he thought that maybe he was relying on the downshift to slow him. :D

They said they needed brakes.

nope crashed hit the wall, currently 3 laps down actually there was another caution and picked up a lap on one postion, up to 8th

The Pontiac was hit by a Mazda.

only 2 GT cars on the lead lap now.
