Mike Whatshisname Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Thanks for the six pack of D. Cranky Ale, Mike Napoleon, you are a prince among dioramists!!! Your Welcome Birthday Boy! Keep the eye candy coming, I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
DR Dubois Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 ###### freaky I must say!!! You've got a great imagination Cranky.
juergen Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 hi ! absolutely incredible what you've achieved since. the idea is great and the implementation anyway. these many details in the interior. great. I look forward to continued. greets jürgen
Dr. Cranky Posted January 30, 2009 Author Posted January 30, 2009 Thanks for the wonderful comments, everyone. They keep me building with a smile on my face!!! I hope to have more progress for ya later on today.
Dr. Cranky Posted January 30, 2009 Author Posted January 30, 2009 I know what you are asking about this next shot. WHAT THE &^%$ is THAT????????????????? Well, I'll tell ya! The Devil's Caddy has the porthole to HELL in his trunk. I know, after all of that build up, that's it? Well, I got lazy and just poured some resin in the trunk to make it look like the perfect Devil's sauna/jacuzzi . . . after all of that charring and burnin' he needs a place to relax, right? It is all finally coming together, sunglasses, tattered, burned clothes . . . lots of beer and booze and reading material and great music!!! A man finally has a place to sit down and rest!!!
Dr. Cranky Posted January 30, 2009 Author Posted January 30, 2009 I think once the body is in pace and the trunk is open, this sucker is going to look okay at eye level . . . hey, I like the Devil's "special-of-the-day-dip" in the jacuzzi idea . . . I guess I could have made the surface of the tub a bit more turbulent, more boiling and roiling!!! The first unsuspecting victim coming in to light the Old Dude's cigar stub . . . "Hey, Sonny, you got a light?" My mind is not "demented," it is FETID & FERMENTED!!!
juergen Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 WHOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry but i lost my words by looking this fotos !!! perfect i can say is all to this built !!!!!! greets jürgen
E St. Kruiser50 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 WHOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry but i lost my words by looking this fotos !!! perfect i can say is all to this built !!!!!! greets jürgen Me too 'Jurgen' This thing is over-the- top. Can't wait to see it all together. Yeah, I've run out of words too - That's somethin' for me - HAH
JHDrew Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 (edited) Holy Toledo! That's great. Looks like you have been thinking about this one for awhile. Congratulations, I can't wait for it to come together. Edited January 30, 2009 by JHDrew
Dr. Cranky Posted January 30, 2009 Author Posted January 30, 2009 Thanks for all the great commnets. I appreciate them. YES!!! I can't wait to put it all together and take some glamour shots of this puppy. I hope this one will get done very soon, perhaps as early as this weekend. Cheers to all! And, again, many thanks.
John Goschke Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Virgil, another another work of twisted inspiration here! I love it!
Dr. Cranky Posted January 31, 2009 Author Posted January 31, 2009 Thanks, everyone, I am working on the engine now and I can see the ending coming soon!!!
riz Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Dude, I cannot wait to see this thing finished! I do a gree with you though that the trunk could be a bit bubbly but I still like it the way it is. Keep up the great work ! RIZ
Mike Whatshisname Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Most EXCELENT and Absolutely PERFECT is all I can say Bro. I wish I could build that good, with that much detail, THAT FAST!!!!! Blows my mind brotha, this build is AMAZING and you, sir, have INCREDIBLE SKILL! One question though, since ol' Smokey there has a brewski in his hand, shouldn't there be one missing from the 6-pack? Don't get me wrong, I aint tryin to be picky or point out flaws, just playing Devil's advocate (sorry bad pun -- but it was intended ) BTW -- the shades look awesome really brings him to ...... um........LIFE ?? Hey Brian, Not Virgil (thank God there is only one!) but I did notice an empty 6 pack of Turbodog to the skeletons right. Perhaps there should be 5 empties somewhere in the car?
Dr. Cranky Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 Geez, for a couple of days I really thought this one was never getting done . . . sheesh!!! Stay tuned in for progress pics . . .
Dr. Cranky Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 For those of you building this 59 Caddy kit, you can use thin rubber bands to hold the front grill in place while the glue dries . . . at least that's one way I found I could do it and retain my sanity . . . or whatever is left of it . . . So I guess the guy in the chair is one cool Devil and he tries to lure people to sit on the driver's seat and take the vehicle out for a spin . . . so far it is not working . . . Look, buddy, I know you got booze and beer and great music, but no thanks . . .
Dr. Cranky Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 Come on, buddy, just a little spin . . . ? Someone else will eventually fall!!!
Dr. Cranky Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 I've been sitting in this chair getting zapped for three hundred years, amigo . . . can you spare some time? And yes, YES!!! This is the same cigar I've been chewing on all these years!!!
Dr. Cranky Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 Aha, the trunk works!!! The PORTAL TO HELL!!!
