Arkgene Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Hi, I am Gene and I live in the great state of Arkansas and no I am not a Razorback fan. I really don't like sports as they are so boring in reality. An 80 minute basketball game last 3 hours and is more like football anymore, football takes so long to play it is a great time to nap between plays and MLB is like watching grass grow at least to me. I like woodworking but I have COPD and can't do that anymore and so I was needing something to do. In high school and college and the first years of being married I built model cars and really liked it but my interests changed to HO scale model railroads. The other day I was in the local Wallyworld and saw a model of a 1994 Lightning and bought it. It was 27 dollars and some change. The last time I bought one I think it was abut 5 dollars or less. I found my old railroad modeling tools and got them out and figured out what I needed and bought all of that. My how prices have gone up on this stuff but I bought it anyway. I mostly enjoy building stock or slightly modified cars and trucks. The only non American cars I build are Ferraris and other exotic sports cars and open wheel racers. I stay away from MoPar as they are now an Italian company. Sorry guys. I am not a great modeler but I can do a passable job at least for myself and that is all that matters to me. I am 79 years old and what others think of my work doesn't matter to me. You young guys will get here someday. I am married to my wife and we have almost 59 years in (Nov. 21, 1963 which was the day before JFK was shot in Dallas) and we are t5rying to make 100 but probably won't make that but it sure is fun trying. Y'all have a great day.
