Recovering from "the virus" and need to print forms for insurance and the hospital.

My new laptop I find is not compatible with my printer nor two others I had to return to Best Buy because the ones they said would work didn't!

Have an ASUS Chromebook.

So had to pull the old desk top out and get it all wired back up.

Not being familiar with Chromebooks I assume it has no physical ports to directly hook the printer to. If that's the case you need to print through your network or Wi-Fi connection. Did any of those printers support Network or Wi-Fi printing?

I understand the allure of a Chromebook computer, the first being price. What you give up though is the ability to simply connect local devices and all of your 'info' is in Google's 'Cloud'. Did you understand all that when you purchased it?

My sons gave it to me for fathers day.

It has ports but because it is all google os it wont work with mos5 printers it seems.

Google ended the cloud printing in 20 or 21.

Not familiar with Chromebooks either, but it seems like all you would need is to be connected to the internet and download the appropriate drivers for the printer. On a WinDoze computer, the search for the driver happens automatically.

The problem seems to root in the fact this chromebook only has googles os and most copiers require a MS os.

Even the manufactures assistance people could not give me a definitive answer on what will work. Suggested to keep trying different ones.

They even suggested that I should run my chromebook through another computer that is connected to a printer!LOL
