JollySipper Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 You guys want to share some instrumental songs? Here's one for you to start...... This is a very smart little song. It gets really good about 2 min. 10 sec. in. If you like xylophone (or vibraphone?) you'll like the first 2 minutes, too.
Brian Austin Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 (edited) I grew up with this album. Listening to it again with a new appreciation for it, it's a fun recording... Track: "A Taste of Honey" from Whipped Cream And Other Delights by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass Edited November 29, 2022 by Brian Austin 2
Russell C Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 One of those videos where it makes me wish I had real talent. Four hands are better than two! 1
1930fordpickup Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 My Favorite CD from Colin James, Bad Habits has this little song on it. Speechless. 1
Fat Brian Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 If I could play this I'd never leave my house again, I'd just play it constantly until I starved to death. My dad listened to a lot of then modern jazz when I was a kid and I remember hearing this band frequently. Then he wonders why I like the music I do now.
DPNM Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 (edited) My favorite instrumental. I chose this live version as it is as true to the original studio recording as I have found. The way he holds a couple of notes in the song is killer. Edited November 24, 2022 by DPNM 2
TonyK Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 I grew up listening to Herb Alpert too. My Dad was into the "Big Band" music so it was only natural that he would like this type of sound. If I remember right, the girl on the cover was Herb's niece or something like that. No link attached but I like Camel which is mostly instrumental. 1

I never owned this album, but I spent a LOT of time admiring the cover at the local five-and-dime. Thanks for the memories!
Rob Hall Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 I saw Herb Alpert in concert a few years ago...great music.. for people and bands known for nstrumental pop/rock music, I do like some The Ventures, The Shadows, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Mogwai...
iamsuperdan Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 A significant chunk of the music I listen to these days is instrumental. I listen to a couple of genres called post-metal and post-rock. I don't know what that means, but I know I like it. Some bands: Vy Pole There's a Light Baulta 417.3 Leech Planetariat Oceans Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster Russian Circles Here's an example: 1
TonyK Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 Loved the Rat Patrol intro music and the show but watching it now is pretty bad. Another intro theme I really liked was Airwolf.

Little Timmy Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 (edited) I like this version too. Edited November 24, 2022 by Little Timmy Alternate sound 1
