Was waiting on some interior parts to come in so I started on the engine from Flightline Engineering which is GREAT. Lots of molded in details and I've got good references for it.

The real thing:

The engine that's in the Flight Engineering update set is very well represented and I used the PE piece from the Monogram boxing to add the ignition wires to it. I drilled the holes for the spark plug cavities and although the ignition wire feed loom is a little thick for my liking, I think it'll blend in well once the push rod tubes are installed.

I hope those masks work. I never used them but the Mustang kit does include them so hopefully i won't make a mess of it. This will be the last airplane I will probably build.

I ended up getting a set of masks cut using those vinyl ones as a template on a paper style masking material similar to Tamiya tape. They now look more like Eduard masks so I'm feeling alot better about that part of it. lol
