Brian Hurst Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Is anyone one else having the same problem as me with the createx white. Every time I try to use it, it will clump up soon as I ad thinner, I'm using the createx 4011 thinner. I've even tried other acrylic thinners, but same problem..
misterNNL Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Only a suggestion here but you might consider contacting the Created co on line to see what they would suggest you do.
Miatatom Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 (edited) One suggestion that Createx has is to use 4013 reducer. I had problems with clumping but I was using their flow aid. Forgot the number. Make sure you mix in the reducer thoroughly and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Watch their YouTube videos, very informative. Edited November 27, 2022 by Miatatom
Jon Haigwood Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 I know the 2012 had issues with clumping. I did experience this problem my ownself so I went back to the 2011. They recommend that it be stirred and not shaken when mixing. A lot of youtube videos on this and other application of Createx paint.
Dave G. Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 No I've not had clumping with any of the colors I use including the white.. At their 10% ratio I have had minor thickening as the paint sits but I seem to think that was blue, black etc.. But no clumping at any rate. I have not had the thickening at 20% reduction or when adding in 4030 balancing clear as is suggested when painting Createx over hard surfaces like plastic model. Or 4050 rather than 4030 for that matter. Now I mostly shoot Createx on to textiles with no additive, reducer or otherwise.. On models I use 4011 and 4030, about 15% each. But I rarely use Createx on models. Well anyway, no clumping.
