NOBLNG Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 (edited) This is the old Monogram ZZ Top Eliminator kit. It was built but not painted when I got it so I decided to re-build it as a non-ZZ mild custom. The engine and trans is from the Revell ‘32 deuce. Paint is Testors Blazing Black and Tamiya X-33 Bronze. Build thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/176566-eliminator/#comment-2659722 Edited December 12, 2022 by NOBLNG 5
Zippi Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Pretty good looking little Hot Rod you got there. Nicely done.

But it turned out not bad for a five dollar (minus paint) investment.?
happy grumpy Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 That's a beautiful take on the eliminator. Killer color combo. Great job sir.
espo Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Beautiful looking colors, Clean looking and better than the ZZ Top livery, I think.
Koellefornia Kid Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Nicely done! I built this kit three times already and I must say it might not be the best kit Monogram/Revell ever made but with a little effort it can look great - like this one! ?
Joe Nunes Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 I think your color combination works well on the model. Always liked the head on view with that big 'ol grill! Joe
stavanzer Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Wow! What a great version of this kit. A Killer Rod, esp. in that Colour!
