2023 BRGB TRIAXLE FREIGHTLINER WRECKER

Recommended Posts

Just a quick mock-up. Doing some touch up and detail painting next. Starting to come together now. Printed some 5 hole Budd wheels and tires for the rear. Just realized my hydraulic cylinder is upside down. Dang it.

Definitely a monster! I’m not a fan of the space between the exhaust and wrecker body. I am working on a storage cabinet to fill the space.

Finally back to the wrecker. Just a quick update. Wheels and tires are on, decking is on the wrecker body, and spare storage lockers are on for a quick mock up. Need to massage the front bumper a little. Power is out from the last round of storms, running off the generator. Have plenty of time to model for the next couple days. Hope to have more soon.

Quick update. Wrecker body is nearly finished. Decals, lights, and winches are on. Just need to add final details. I reprinted the cab and made a few dimension changes for better fit. Cab is going into paint tonight, working on interior bits as well.

Good night at the bench. Wrecker body is finished   Added all the lights and slam locks and all the hand rails on the wrecker. Added the shift tower and linkage. I have a sheet of photo etched slam locks for the extra cabinets somewhere in this mess.

Maybe a box for an air bag set-up?

Getting closer. Windows are in, cab tilt cylinders are on, and cab detail painting is finished. Need to work on the rest of the decals along with fitting the interior.

Great idea. The front part of the box now has a set of gauges and the very front has a radiator screen which would have the compressor inside.
