Custom Hearse Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 I belong to the 4 State Modelers Club here in Joplin. One of our members was seriously injured in an accident on a 4 wheeler. He hit a snowbank, and was thrown off the bike. He broke several bones, and split his head open. I won't include pictures, because it was really bad. I learned today that he is back in the hospital due to his injuries. Today I also learned that the secretary of our club is in the hospital for surgery. I went and visited her, and she stayed awake for a whole hour until her pain meds kicked in. Please keep them in your thoughts. They are really good people. Thanks. Marshall.
The Modeling Hermit Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 My wife is a Nurse, and here on the island the 4 wheelers keep the hospital busy. The problem is that this is a small community, and we know most of them. We've had several that didn't survive. That's hard to deal with. We feel your pain, and can share it. Prayers will be going out tonight.

ricky12 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 (edited) got alittle bet of family left down there, probley wont get down there as often now that both my grand parents have passed away . always been a neat town seems to grow every time i go back, but never found any good hobby shops while i was there. Sorry to hear about your Grandparents passing. Yeah, this town grows and grows.... And grows! If you ever do get back here, there's a great hobby shop in town now: Hobby World of Joplin.
