Now I’ve started the second one and will give it military livery for the desert campain.  That is not a helmet on the fuel tank it’s the air intake positioned to avoid dust and such.

That's cool! It's coming along great.  Ive often looked at the esci kits and wondered about them. What's the fit like? Are they the same mould as the protar?

Thanks for the kind words. The molding and alignment are good. The only issues I see are the usual seams where the  mold halves    join. So far as comparing with Protar I haven’t built any of their kits but this one is nice.

Here are a couple of pics of my current progresss9203709E-5ED8-4D8A-AC0D-105829549E8A.thumb.jpeg.4cad2d4796a24fde78eafc99e4e15ed8.jpeg3AE20FC4-50BF-464F-8EBA-C4AFA15D55F0.thumb.jpeg.9e41a35596ded077e9c0476f545d32ea.jpeg

I frickin' LOVE these bikes. If you need any picture references I've got a couple of books on these. Beautiful detailing and paint work Bob and I like the black one that you posted as well.

These are just cool lookin' bikes man.

Thanks Joe. Working with the larger scale does offer more detail but that demands more effort.
I’ve always loved old BMW’s too. In fact I had a 67 until I passed it on to my son a year ago.

This is really nice to see... Looks huge on the work bench! There's a community build dedicated to all things BMW, you would be more than welcome to post this in, also!

My next kit purchase will probably be the Revell Police bike.

Well, the bike is all but done. Now onto the car 61E316CC-0532-4341-B231-DF4B03F307A2.thumb.jpeg.bb66a9842ffd65b95a37a0b403c096a2.jpegF3CFD87D-DC5C-47E9-B088-12AAA5AD828E.thumb.jpeg.bbfba71f658e229c60aecb31751d6e9c.jpegAlong the way I found a way to hold the bike as I was adding fiddley bits.

The square peg coming from the rear wheel allows the side car wheel to also have power. They were asking a lot of the 750 cc engine, especially if the rig was fully loaded and on soft ground.

Thanks Bruce. For paint I started by covering every thing with Tamiya Desert Yellow (XF 59). Then used their Field Gray (XF 65) that’s the sort of green blue. And finally a dash of Khaki (XF 49). The kit is so big I had to get the big bottle of the Desert Yellow
