Tommy124
Hi there, this kit is replicating the 1991 predecessor of the 1992 and 1993 Le Mans winning car. This kit is "greatly feared" (mostly) among European builders of 1/24 racing/ Group C cars. In brief words, the kit seems to offer a lot of detail (e.g. the V 10 engine) but fails to deliver in even the most basic aspects. For instance, the engine hood does not fit at all, which is not a small issue on a Group C car. So from the get-go, it was clear for me that this could be done only curbside, with all parts glued and shut as much as possible. I ran into some fitting issues anyway, but eventually succeeded in passing this "test of patience and character". 😉 Edited April 8 by Tommy124

bbowser
Well done, neat clean paint and decal work. I have this kit and also intend to build it curbside after reading all the reviews.

Tommy124
Many thanks all, I appreciate your feedbacks! On 4/8/2023 at 2:15 PM, bbowser said: Well done, neat clean paint and decal work. First, and as you mentioned, make it a curbside. There is no other way, or the back to the car will always look like an elephant stepped onto it. Second, do glue all outer (body) parts together at the earliest stage possible or you will have fit issues and giant gaps. However, in order to make this possible, it might take a lot of cutting and some sawing... 🤔
bytownshaker
Yours turned out great. Like a lot of us I have the kit and put it back in the box and back on the shelf.

cifenet
You have done an awesome job! First, beautiful work and finish. It is looking gorgeous! And I don’t know much about this kit, but I used to wonder why Heller’s racing car kits aren’t very popular (you just don’t see them being built). Well, you just explained for me. Now I know!
