45calibermodel Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I have noticed that in most of the pics where someone is molding two pieces together or filling something there are normally two colors. One is gray and the other is red. What are these two products, which ones are used for what, and where can i get them? Thanks
Eshaver Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 It almost sounds like Automobile Body filler also commonly known as "Bondo" or body filler . it's been around since the early 1960's and through the years , I have seen it improve drastically. Let me know if you need help determining a suitable product to do modeling with . Ed Shaver

LDO Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Use Evercoat brand Eurosoft putty. It's very fine-grained. It sands and feathers beautifully. If you want to read about customizing techniques for model cars, get some old copies of Car Modeler magazine with Custom Clinic articles by Mark Gustavson. That guy is a guru. He did a lot of cool articles like how to chop tops, sectioning, shaving trim, etc. You can also visit his website; www.customclinic.com
