JollySipper Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 Hey, Guys..... Time to switch to something non-automotive for this project. Kit is from Ollie's. I worked the gap away going down the spine with an emery board. There's a bit of misalignment along the front of the wings...... Not sure how to correct it. Our resident vintage model plane expert Mr. Snake said to just 'have FUN with it', so I'm not going to add any details or anything, just what's in the box...... The engines are about the size of a quarter. I painted the engines black, then dry brushed the details with silver. This kit only has 40 pieces, kinda simple. Should be a quick build! 3 Quote
JollySipper Posted May 20, 2023 Author Posted May 20, 2023 I've got a coat of primer on all the 'body' parts...... There's still a few seams showing. I've been filling those with PVA glue, seems to be working! Also, I put a coat of clear on the props to finish the engines...... Quote
JollySipper Posted May 20, 2023 Author Posted May 20, 2023 That's Cool........ My neighbor friend called it a 'puddle jumper'. Got the white for the main color.... It turned out all different sheens, so I put a coat of matte clear on everything to make it all the same shine. Quote
JollySipper Posted May 21, 2023 Author Posted May 21, 2023 Good thing I enjoy masking............ Quote
JollySipper Posted May 21, 2023 Author Posted May 21, 2023 Turned out okay, I guess! Just a couple spots to touch up........... Quote
GLMFAA1 Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 Now this would be fun masking: This was some kids school bus back in the days. greg Quote
