The Creative Explorer Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I am sorry to post so many pictures at once, but due to a very busy time lately, I really haven't got a lot of time to update and post. I guess you would've noticed that I am not so much online anymore. I actually rather build then post haha. Well, this is the newest, latest project. Due to a group-build competition, I had to finish this one within 4 weeks. And I managed to work it out in building it in 3 weeks and a few days. I will post the pictures of the finished car probably next weekend. I love the kit, although there is quite a lot of improvement possible from Accurate Miniatures, especially on the part of the manual, which is quite unclear at certain points. But besides that, it is a lovely kit. Nice details, and nice subject. Instead of me ranting about, let the pictures do the talking
ismaelg Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Beautiful job on that! That is the scheme I plan for mine as well. Did you use any aftermarket or is all that box stock? Looking forward to see it finished! Thanks,
The Creative Explorer Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 Thanks, No, even though the kit is quite comprehensive, I added quite a lot of aftermarket stuff. The kit does require more detailling to really come to its beauty.
RodneyBad Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Looks pretty good, I like the intake and engine detailing is coming along great. Interior looks quit comfie with the flocking. I guess that was a nice kit See how the PE louvers go.
JHDrew Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Looks very nice. One of my favorite subjects.
The Creative Explorer Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 Heya Rod! I'll catch up with the e-mail soon, need a bit time there. haha. Well, the PE louvres are looking pretty sweet, I am glad they are in there and they are being put together quite easily, I didn't expect that. Are you starting to regret you send that one over the pond? Well, at least you got some nice ones heading your way soon too
torinobradley Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 (edited) I have a couple of these Corvettes and one of the MCG detail sets for it. I am sure I will enjoy working on it and have an awesome model(s) when I am done. Nice work so far and it is very inspireing. Every time I see someone working on one of these, I wanna pull mine out and start gluing plastic... Maybe I'll do a vingette that shows the Grand Sport in it's first race... being passed by a little, almost stock AC Bristol with a Ford 260 in it... (I know the AC lost due to breakage but it's still funny) Edited February 24, 2009 by torinobradley
The Creative Explorer Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 Since the last pictures will take a little longer, I will post some more pictures, just for fun ;-) I hope you will enjoy, and when you got a question/comment, please share.
Raul_Perez Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Very nice work, Erik!! The entire build looks GREAT, including all of the extra details that you've added. Thanks for sharing,
