diymirage
Picked up this reissue of the old Lindberg kit, mostly because I build it once ages ago and thought I'd build it again This kit is marketed as the one JFK commanded, but I have no plans of building a replica of that one There is quite a bit of flash on here, and at some point it was an RC kit, so there were two holes that needed to be addressed I'm particularly pleased with the way I fixed the front hole, that post looks like it's part of the anchor windlass and it belongs on there I also drilled out the fresh air vents which were very crude My biggest issue now is, will I paint it Grey, as delivered l, or paint it green as they were painted in the field ? (Two different 109 kits, only put up for color comps)
stavanzer
NIce Work, so far! I do like your fix on the front hole. Clever! I'd go green, for Pacific, or gray for a boat in the Med.

Thanks I bet when that thing is painted it will look like it belongs there I finished the small parts and all is glued in place, save the parts that will get different paint (guns, raft, floatation devices) Ill get some primer on tomorrow and the really need to decide on a color The wife likes green, so I'll probably go with that
diymirage
Got the bottom primed The top will get show with an airbrush, base primer in white, accents, shades and depth in black That will be the first time trying that one a vehicle so im interested to see if it will be worth the effort

diymirage
Got the top painted I used Vallejo paint, but had a heck of a time thinning it to flow through my airbrush Not sure if I want to paint the hull the same way

Sorry for the late response I guess you could make it a 73, the main issue would be the stand, it has "PT 109" cast into it This is the decal sheet that comes with it
