Ace-Garageguy Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 (edited) Interesting idea to build a widened canyon carver over Shelby S1 guts. Years ago, a German rodder did something similar in 1:1, widened a VW Rabbit (Golf), dropped it over Porsche 928 mechanicals. Drivers on the autobahns were surprised to be overtaken by a Rabbit flashing its lights, then see it blast by them like they were stopped. Edited June 14, 2023 by Ace-Garageguy 2
Glassparman Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Nice! I've always wanted to take a Real Nash Metropolitan which is not much bigger than your model, and split it down the middle and add another car so that it is twice as wide. Then chop the roof and get it real low to the ground. My license plate would read "Phatboy" Keep us updated on your work!
Zippi Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 All those mods is turning this into a very nice looking ride. Nice work man.

I've been gathering the parts to do the golf and maybe the skyrocket another time. 1
dino246gt Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 Fat Austin, I love it! I've always wondered what I could do with that Shelby kit's chassis, and you've done it! Sweet!
Chuckyg1 Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 Really cool idea. Great execution to this point. Any thoughts on color?
