Amt’s 1966  galaxie kit with testors red and decals by Billy Gooche. I think I used the air cleaner box from the 65 kit .IMG_1921.thumb.jpeg.96762cbfad87fbc5a2e20a044e368a8a.jpegIMG_1926.thumb.jpeg.6c6f0faf7e7e35f485c2b6e37e82be45.jpegIMG_1922.thumb.jpeg.9e2daf8774dd1ad58775dc2449d3ece0.jpegIMG_1923.thumb.jpeg.ebde14d2ccdf168c52e8c1310839bcd0.jpegIMG_1924.thumb.jpeg.af4ffb5c2ede3bb27e16b0c0bc6d6a62.jpegIMG_1929.thumb.jpeg.18abd413d80686eea8398f7452feb338.jpegIMG_1928.thumb.jpeg.02ae0cb505a103e9c44989d5c07efbdd.jpeg

Interesting, despite running with the 427 SOHC this still qualified for B/FX.  Nice work.

Hi everyone,

My Husband is Mike Schmitt’s grandson, and I just wanted to say this model build is absolutely incredible—the best I’ve seen by far! I’m hoping to get in touch with its creator/owner and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. Thanks so much for your help!

VERY NICE WORK! Looks the part, good job.

I'd like to see Rc2 promote a bunch of these 60's cars as drag racers, all they need really are decals and headers, most have slicks anyway. Milk those tools!
I would love to see the 64 Galaxie come back! Just open the hood on the Craftsman in the current RC2 style. I would be a great companion to your 66! Use the 66 for parts on the 64!

RC2 HELLO!???

I’m the builder of this kit as far as the actual kit goes it’s very easy to find as it’s still in hobby store inventory’s . The unfortunate part is that the man who made the decal markings for it suddenly passed away this year and as far as I know no one else has printed his files. With that said they would need to be custom made which is very possible. With all that being said I can create you another one. Contact me by email at Michael.elly234@gmail.com

Thank you for your detailed response and for providing insight into the kit’s availability and the decal situation. I’m sorry to hear about the passing of the person who created the markings.

I tried reaching out to you at the email you provided but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be working.  Could you confirm your correct email please.
