Those of us of a certain age will fondly remember the short stories in Pop Sci that introduced us to "Gus Wilson, Veteran Auto Mechanic" who's wisdom, and trouble shooting talents were second to none.

I know that some of my automotive interests were sparked by these stories, the rest by by my Dad, and antique Car Nut. They helped to turn me on to cars, in the 1970's when I started to read 'grown-up' magazines like the Popular Mechanics and Popular Science that my Dad always subscribed to. I read every Gus Wilson story I could, and learned a whole lot about cars, and how to fix them.

Looking on the Internet yesterday I found a site devoted to Gus and his stories. I found it fascinating.  I share it in hope that some of you will find it as fun as I did.

I know I'll be reading stories here for a very long time.

Stories started in 1925 (!) and run until 1970, for 45 years.
