MarcelT4 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 (edited) I start a new build report, the Hoonicorn Mustang is built. For this I got a kit of the 1966 Mustang from AMT. But from this kit I will only be able to use the body and some small parts. I have already 3D printed a lot of the parts. Here are the first pictures. Then there are the first pictures with color and some things were built together. I hope that I can inspire a few of you with it. Edited August 11, 2023 by MarcelT4 8
ea0863 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Incredible work! And I am so jealous of your 3D abilities 1
bobthehobbyguy Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Great project. It's great to see how the 3d printing is changing the hobby. 1 1
beeRS Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Oh this is so cool. The work so far looks great. Where did you find the 3D files for this?
MarcelT4 Posted August 3, 2023 Author Posted August 3, 2023 (edited) The bodyparts are made by me, but you can buy the other parts at cgtrader. In the download file, the body is also included, but only as a complete part or in two parts. These are also too big for my printer. But I want to use the body from the kit, so I modeled this body kit as individual parts. Edited August 3, 2023 by MarcelT4 1
MarcelT4 Posted August 12, 2023 Author Posted August 12, 2023 I have started to install the printed parts. 6
MarcelT4 Posted August 13, 2023 Author Posted August 13, 2023 More bodywork today. Looks quite impressive. 2
Mattilacken Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 Impressive! So nice to be able to print a complete kitt! I like this way of building allot and do it some but would like to have a printer of my own. 1
MarcelT4 Posted August 18, 2023 Author Posted August 18, 2023 Today I'm going a little further. First test. The engine. The front all wheel components. The dash got some color. Interior too. Now I stand before riddles. I've been searching my fingers off for the wiring/hosing. Also, I can't find anything where the hoses/cables go from the red/black part at the front of the engine. Maybe you can help? 1
MarcelT4 Posted August 19, 2023 Author Posted August 19, 2023 Since I can't get any further on the engine, I tried something. 1
MarcelT4 Posted August 22, 2023 Author Posted August 22, 2023 More decals. All decals were created in Corel Draw. 1
camaro69 Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Hi Marcel, nice bodykit you have done and the decals fit quite well or in german... Hast nen schönen Bodykit gemacht und die Decals passen klasse. Rico 1
MarcelT4 Posted August 22, 2023 Author Posted August 22, 2023 Thank you very much. If I could now somehow get further with the engine, then everything would be perfect. But unfortunately I can't find any pictures where you can see how the motor is wired and where all the hoses are connected.

MarcelT4 Posted August 26, 2023 Author Posted August 26, 2023 Small update. Tried to get the hoses done. Painted the rims. A few small parts. Then tried to carbonize the bumpers. Not really perfect, but I can't get it any better.
MarcelT4 Posted September 11, 2023 Author Posted September 11, 2023 Hello all I could not deny myself a sample. Is everything only loosely plugged together. 4
Phildaupho Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Very impressive new school model car building of a recent iconic subject 1
MarcelT4 Posted September 17, 2023 Author Posted September 17, 2023 Hello all. Here it is now, it is finished. Once together, the car and its creator / driver. But whether I paint the figure, I do not know. Do not really dare me to something like that. 1
Lobo2me Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 (edited) Very cool! Exceptional creativity and execution. A fitting tribute to the genius of Ken Block. You gotta paint him. Edited September 17, 2023 by Lobo2me Can't spell! 1
