Even a convertible would be nice ! I've always loved this kit !!! 😇👍 They both need the Cobra Jet hood....😉

Sport Suburban
I didn't have any issues that I can recall with my hood and shakers fitting on both of my builds. Also, it is rumored to have the Twister Special decals in it! Edited August 26 by Sport Suburban

That's great news indeed and shows that despite the small crew in charge of US releases, the passion is there, and can only applaud that! Anyway put me down for two! Merkur XR4Ti
What are folks' preferred sources for Ford Calypso Coral paint that would be needed for the Twister Special?

I'd check Scale Finishes or MCW. One or both will likely have that colour.

Hard_2_Handle_454
Finished mine last night. I did have the shaker hood problem. Ended up just gluing the shaker to the hood and I had to remove the carb to make the hood shut. Had a little trouble getting the front and rear end on as well. Didn't remember that issue with my last one. Hope to post the pics soon. It's mine and my dad's birthday weekend, so I've been busy. I really like how the ones others have doe came out. I wish mine looked that good.
Mike C.
Can't decide if I want to build one of these as I already have a few of them already wired and detailed in 1/18 diecast.

There is only one body for both kits. The previous issue of the Cobra used the GT body, the instructions mentioned having to remove the trim. 2
Merkur XR4Ti
Yes, I'm working on mine now and it took less than 5 minutes to sand off the GT louvers on both sides of the body.

Why? Twisters were only in Calypso Coral, so the color wouldn't match either. I assume he used the side stripes because he wanted to and they looked cool, which is all the reason anyone needs.
