Another fantastic build! I have this johann kit. Funny cars are so cool! I just have not tried them . Everything is exposed. Details are great! Well one day I will try it. Cool sir

Thank you Bruce!

If you build it, the only precaution is to temporarely mount the front axle in place with white glue when you cement the lateral frame rails to the front and rear xmembers... The slightest longitudinal mis-alignement of the sides will severely affect the level stance of the front axle.

And my experience of many kits produced by Johan at the end of the Seville renaissance show that the persons who handled the hot freshly molded parts found all manners of bending them before they cooled. Oh well...

Thank you for the heads up. I’m kind of leaning toward the blue max car. But still deciding. Yours is a great build.

That’s a great and very creative paint job. Nicely detailed chassis. The custom made decals are outstanding.

Thank you Michael!

I actually found the Wizard image online. It seemed to be the logo for a sports team: Mad Wizard. I downloaded it, and changed the proportions a bit, and blackened the lower part of the "robe" to erase the top of the actual lettering. Voilà!

Simply terrific!   Love the creativity, Claude.  Also, those chassis tins look very impressive....might have to try that stuff myself.  Way to go!   TIM

Hi Tim!

Thank you. If you try Revell's new spray chrome, you'll notice that the first rwo coats, be they light or medium, will loose much shine while flashing... It appears to be normal, and if you follow with a third "very wet" coat, the shine will look as good as typical kit chrome. Just be carefull when handling it a couple of days later. Mine held-up fine, and did not mar.

I did NOT try any clear coating on it, neither water-based (like Tamya's or Johnson's floor care) or lacquer, so I can't comment to the gloss reduction effect it might provoque. But I read on many forums that it does, indeed, affect the shine.

I suppose so many people can't be wrong?

Regards,
