Modlbldr Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 I got this painted body in a trade. It has been painted, decaled, and cleared by exceptional model builder Gary Seeds. I scratchbuilt the headers out of brass tubing and ran a chute cable to the top of the roll cage. Other than that, it is box stock. Later- 9
TonyK Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 One of the better versions I've seen of this beast. Nice work.
Bernard Kron Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 (edited) Gary is the master of fade paint jobs so he's the ideal person to have done the body. You took it up from there and the result is a really sharp rendition. It shows why this is such a classic kit.?? Also, for me, it's on my list of all-time great parts kits! I love this kit as a parts kit too. Later-

Sam I Am Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Great job bringing this one across the finish line.
Zippi Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Haha...that's pretty kewl looking tom. I remember you showing me that body at the Model car show in Ownensboro. I like the foot out the back.
Sledsel Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Sweet looking build. I have one of these in my stash but am sure it will not come out this nice. On a kit note, Revell made some really heavy duty steering linkage!!!! LOL

LOL You are probably referring to the pivot arm attached to the steering link. This was the body support bracket. It was pretty dorkie. I left it off my build.

The steering linkage was not that beefy, however, I still managed to thin it down a bit for more realism. Later-
