Got this cheap on the evilbay about a year ago, probably about £25 for the box set. As the box is so big, I don't want to keep it long - so its next up on the bench. Its going to be painted in a dark metalic red. I'll be mixing a metalic red with a black to darken it - both Zero paints.

the interior will be cream and red, I'm also going to try to flock it - which I'm normally too lazy to do as its messy and never looks right for me.

First problem in the engine cover is wonky, it will annoy me when its finished, so I tried a technique I learned in this Forum - peg it in an opposing twist and leave it on the radiator - i had never done this before, but it worked. Too much ast first, it twisted a lot the other way, I then did a moderate twwist back - and now it sits a lot better. Not a perfect fit because its a Revell kit - the details are not quite there for a perfect fit, but good enouth for me.

the kit is quite detailed, but the mouldings are not sharp or crisp making it look slightly toy like.

I've removed the "ferarri" script off this piece and added photo etch.

the silver highlights are probably not true to the original, but anyway...

Interior completed. I didn't like how the mig panel line stained the door cards, so I didn't do the seats. Still not up to the precision of a Tamiya kit, its a bit toy like, but its still an enjoyable build (so far)

That interior looks really sharp. The engine came out great too. I noticed that the kit's box said that there are two model kits included in the box - what car is does the second one depict?

Hi Noah, the other one is a Ferrari Enzo, thanks for the comments, appreciated!

This build hasn't been forgotten, but it is fighting me.

I have put some margerine cover foil on the bulkhead, and will cut out the grilles for the front.

The engine lid is twisting one way or the other, so I'm trying to get some magnets in there, this is taking time and stalling the build

The wheels on this are a strange assembly and required fettling to fit, but they are in now. Engine in & interior fitted.

During a mock up, the exhausts were not quite centered, so I've had to cut off the bottom end of the left hand side support, but this has made the engine slightly wonky, I'm sure this will be OK in the end.

As shown before, the engine bay lid is wonky, so I've spent most of my time getting the magnets in place and some supports for them, that required me to cut out the engine cowl.

This has now been primered, coated ina few coats of Zero Paints Metallic red mixed with Gloss Black & then coated in Proscale 2K clear.

Really not happy with the clear.

I think i added too much thinner. last 2 goes on this clear have not turned out well...

It looks purple in real life, not brown like the images!

That paint looks great. Can’t see any problems with the clear from the pictures.

Hi Sonny, it was the orange peel and graininess of the clear coat that I wasn't happy with, but it was mostly dust free - which is a first!

This has now been sanded and polished using Tamiya 2000 grit wet and dry, then Micromesh 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000, then Tamiya Coarse and Fine polish.

The only burn through can be seen on the very tip of the nose in the last image, I'm happy with how its turned out - now I need to mask and paint the trim!

Masked inside & out for window trim & front air intakes

I made the masks for the front intakes with some exposure to the front face & wiped off the excess with Thinner.

Not long left now...
