Absolutely first class top notch grade A number 1 primo model. Have a great holiday.

Thanks Phil!! As you know, I don’t generally build replicas, that is your specialty. I am quite proud of this one tho, I think it turned out well. We will indeed have a great holiday, guess who my wife and I are sharing a house with… yes, Wayne and his wife. So I have decided that I am showing him the car before we leave, even tho I can’t give it to him yet. Not exactly how I wanted to reveal it, but it’s time to let him see it. Halloween night…

Steve

This build is stunning! You missed nothing in every facet of that beauty. Now your brother in law could leave the car under cover, and just take your build to the shows! I am just blown away by the quality of your build. I truly look forward to your next adventures. This makes me strive to achieve something closer to your type of quality in the future(eons away?). Thank you for sharing your journey.

Thanks so much Rich, those are very kind words. I definitely stepped my game up a bit on this one. This forum, and the super talented builders here, have taught me a lot over the last 4 plus years. The sharing here is awesome, I’m always humbled to think someone might be inspired by something I built. So thank you again.

I just love seeing those red fenders behind the front wheels.

Thank you to all that followed this build, and commented. It was a fun journey for me, and I am very pleased with the way it turned out.

Haha !! Thanks Joe. Wayne has now seen this build, I didn’t give it to him yet, as I still need some glamour shots. Got a stamp of approval though. Him and I, along with the rest of my wife’s family are hanging out in Hawaii for a bit…

Well…. It is Wayne’s birthday today. Ooops, I had aimed to have it in his hands today.  I finally got some decent glamour shots yesterday and today. Oh ya, I also added the foam gasket on the top of the air cleaner. Looks better when it’s not so big!🫣😜 So I will deliver this to him this weekend, and put it “under glass” in the next couple of days as well. Thanks again to those that followed along.

Wow Steve!!!  This is a fantastic build of a superb car, you have really bring this great kit to the next level.

I have rarely seen someone invest in such a project for a gift, you certainly have a good relationship with him and he will certainly be impressed and grateful, I would be!

Happy birthday to him and thank you for this great WIP thread of great interest, it will be an example to follow for anyone who would like to assemble this kit and give it VIP treatment. 👌

You're gonna have to let us know how the presentation turned out Steve.  That shot of the interior and engine bay are just mind blowing and I REALLY like that 8 track player. Dad had one of those aftermarket players mounted to the bottom of his dash on his old 62 Chevrolet Stepside truck. I think we must've listened to the two 8 tracks Charley Pride-Greatest Hits and Elvis Presley-Blue Hawaii a million frickin' times.

Stunning build obviously but what really stands out is the level of small details, the key chain, and eight track just to name a couple. The master cylinder clip is also notable and something I'd incorporate into a future build.

Not as many choices for tunes back then. Elvis is good though… Thanks for the kind words.

Hi Tom, and thank you. Adding the little details was fun. Had to decide when to call it enough. Some will likely never be seen. I do plan on doing a replica of my car one day, and I think I will open the driver side door to show off the details. This was good practice for that build.

Thanks again for all who followed along. She is officially “under glass” with some half decent glamour shots.
