The 4th Mustang build of our 5 real Mustangs currently in our family. My daughters 1966 Mustang Coupe she affectionately named Tony, for Anthony Leedo “Lee” Iacocca. Kit bashed an AMT 1966 coupe kit from the early 2000s and another AMT 1967 Mustang GT Fastback.

You can check the full process of building Tony by checking out the full build WIP thread:

There are two settings. One for the interior lights, the other for the headlights, taillights and gauge lights.

  • Duddly01 changed the title to 1966 Mustang Coupe: Tony

The most highly detailed Mustang build I can remember seeing. Besides the lighting systems, the interior and trunk finish are all very realistic looking. The paint finish looks great, and I like the factory style accent pin striping.

Lighting it up has definitely taken it to the next level! Beautiful model.

Thank you. I don’t think my family will allow me to build a car without LEDs any more.

great model!

just the light below the dashboard seem a little to efficient, no?

Not nearly noticeably as bright in person, but it does a good job of lighting up the interior right? :). If that’s the only complaint I’ll take it though. The real lights do actually do a good job of lighting the interior at night.
