FujimiLover Posted March 24, 2009 Author Posted March 24, 2009 (edited) Thank you. From the look's of my older Insight model, it look's like I just painted over the stock paint and it turned out nicely. The model was also same blue as the new model, and I'm pretty sure I used gray primer over that, then the base coat, the decals, and clear gloss. I may do this one different. I know you know already but darker colors over light colors work better than lighter colors over dark colors. Edited March 24, 2009 by FujimiLover
B_rad88 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 i know, but the pic you have of the insight is a grey-blue metalic. whitch is a some what of a darker color.

B_rad88 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 try it and see. if it works then go for it. the primer should cover it cause its a thick paint base!
B_rad88 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 (edited) here is a pic of the srtipper, extra strength. i hope this will help. it works for me. sorry its not clear, my camera is acting up. Edited March 25, 2009 by KUZTOMMODELS88

B_rad88 Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 i have to get batteries for it, it died last night, i am going to et today, tomorrow, depends on how the day goes. sorry, and when i striped my 1/18 scale die-cast miasto mini cooper it was spotted. like it iodized. but it was like that when i pulled the paint off, so that means they paint over it. even the 1/64 hot wheels come out like that. i will try sanding it to brighten it up then polishing to see if that helps. don't worry i have lots of die-cast models i am working on so there will be pics of many stages of many cars!!!!!
FujimiLover Posted March 25, 2009 Author Posted March 25, 2009 LOL! Sounds cool, I dont' know if I can do multiple projects at once. I AM NOT DONE YET, I GOT A COUPLE OF OTHER THINGS TO TRY!!!!!!!!! Edited April 8, 2009 by KUZTOMMODELS88

FujimiLover Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 Thank's guy's. It'll be a long time before I start on the Insight. I'm enjoying building the Koenig Competition so far. So far, all the painting is turning out great with the excpetion of the occasional over spray which I'll have to touch up some how. Still, it's already looking ton's better than previous KS models I've built.
