I finally finished the build of my 2018 Mustang Convertible. This is build 5 of our 5 Mustangs in our family. Kitbash of Revell snap kit and a Motor Max diecast used for parts as well as a lot of scratch built parts. I have been using 3V coin batteries for my LEDs but this build required an A23 12V battery.D6E86AAE-B437-43B9-A1F4-73C3982A8355CarModels-2018Mustang_002.thumb.jpeg.3209385c19b58081d96ba50a9ed82c76.jpeg219DEB37-ABD3-423B-A6E7-D502A28CBEB9CarModels-2018Mustang_004.thumb.jpeg.850d80e09933f59e275fc1ed3c9445a8.jpeg92E6918B-5620-4C6C-8ED7-7EEA1473980ACarModels-2018Mustang_005.thumb.jpeg.3b6f2224104aeb726d2425a112b46ba2.jpeg1587D86E-B351-441C-A070-421DD57E431ACarModels-2018Mustang_010.thumb.jpeg.a55520fc647fa7b6e7bfe17d4f49e5ce.jpegEF128005-06BF-49C8-B9EE-F5FEA9FEE01BCarModels-2018Mustang_011.thumb.jpeg.d47f67080bc2a22645bd1efdd37dca7e.jpeg4AF6250F-81E4-4EB0-9A03-670F1593A07ACarModels-2018Mustang_013.thumb.jpeg.81bc73ae57aeac25cd93d380848c39b0.jpeg6C86AF52-4468-4CE2-9C04-C4C796367F6ECarModels-2018Mustang_014.thumb.jpeg.af8f58a0cc8e22fd2201e1b11322b9f9.jpegA8EE15F6-0F03-4359-921D-0727AD5F82CDCarModels-2018Mustang_015.thumb.jpeg.47dbe118644ff2b2a56f0c0145c61dea.jpeg6A495902-D924-4996-BB92-7759C1260349CarModels-2018Mustang_017.thumb.jpeg.7d713e3f4eb766aacdafb01d2229cfa7.jpeg9B8FEBBC-6EFC-4D86-AD1C-23388305E5BACarModels-2018Mustang_009.thumb.jpeg.fefb66fca7b9a12aa0813433fa5a286e.jpeg3857F6EF-B811-4E7A-B21C-B2874F81FEC8CarModels-2018Mustang_008.thumb.jpeg.722c94c13787a68c964f08c5a42a7ed9.jpegIMG_3960.thumb.jpeg.c8f5174e1a20ca5f47096049a47d89dd.jpegIMG_3961.thumb.jpeg.848f5c388188eaa7c9f47893d9ad8654.jpegIMG_1318.thumb.jpeg.0bea2443a3a47d763a79df7640b88f56.jpeg Car-Models-Group-1.2.thumb.jpeg.84e69c219579c60c042b5b5362da1896.jpeg

Donald we should have guessed you own a 1:1 Mustang!  Like Michelle said great work as usual.  I’ve seen folks do lighting and even did so myself on one of my builds but I don’t recall anyone’s lighting on a model looking  as realistic as you do it man.

Awesome work as usual with these light up models

Thank you. I keep thinking making it easier on myself and not adding the LEDs, but I can't seem to stop myself. :)

Looks great. Love the dash lighting detail. Impressive.

Thank you, I can't not have the gauges light up if the headlights and taillights are on, right? This one did take a more powerful battery with the parking and side marker lights needing added.

Thank you. I tried to get them as close as possible.

Beautiful paint finish and color, just like the original. Like the lighting system you installed.

Thank you. I used actual J7 2018 Mustang Magnetic Metallic touch up paint. Came very thick and required a lot of thinning to airbrush. Then 2K clear and polished.

Cool Mustang. Got that " Bad to the Bone " look to it. Nice build.

Thank you. I never thought of my Eco-Boost convertible as "Bad to the Bone". :D

Very well done. Love the lights. I have enjoyed all the builds of your 5 family Mustangs. Over the years I think my extended family have owned 4 Mustangs and there is still one in the family a 67 turquoise convertible.
