That is the plan.... I have been trying to piece together an interior that suits the radical bodywork better than the stock Thunderbird unit.... Sure hope it works the way that I envision it ?

That's awesome...... The only other type of dash that would fit this build might be some kind of waterfall/console setup. The floating dash will be perfect!

Finally got a break in the humidity today. Was able to lay down a base coat of Tamiya Pearl White.....

Now it's time to break out the portal airbrush and try my hand at a multi-tone fade using several shades of purple nail polish.

Wish me luck.... I've got far too much time and effort in this to have to start over.

Yeah, my time at the bench, especially during the warm weather months, is limited to a few minutes here and a few minutes there.

Had a slow lazy Labor Day, so I took the opportunity to dig out the portal airbrush, go out to the parking lot, and start laying down a fog/fade job.... It didn't turn out as well as I'd like, but I'm gonna leave it be for now. 

  

 

Next, it's time to lay down some clear and finish up the engine and interior.

Creeping along ever so slowly on this one.... Finally managed to sneak in a few minutes to break out the Dupli-Color 1K clear and give the old girl a couple of nice wet coats.....

Another brief update.... Finished piecing together an injected Y-block to go under the hood. 

Just the old kit engine from way back when.... Injectors and valve covers are some 3D printed stuff that I ordered a few years ago.... Don't recall who made them.

Need to finish painting a few engine compartment details and touch up a couple of spots on the chrome exhaust manifold, but I'm quite happy with the overall appearance.
